Exploring the benefits of a career in the electrical trade
Electrical is one of the few careers you can start without a degree and still build into a profession that lasts. You learn on real jobs instead of in a classroom, you earn while you learn, and the hours you put in count toward a Florida licence that belongs to you for the rest of your working life.
It is also work that does not dry up. Southwest Florida keeps building — homes, storefronts, warehouses, medical offices — and every one of them needs power, lighting and a panel that meets code. Between those builds there are remodels, generator installs, storm repairs and service calls. That means steady work close to home, rather than months away chasing jobs across the state.
Everyone here works out of a fully stocked company service vehicle, with health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, and ongoing safety and trade code training on our time. Eligible employees also build an ownership stake in the company through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan — so as Elite grows, the people who built it share in what they built. Apprentices become technicians, technicians become leads, and leads run crews and projects. There is no ceiling here that you cannot work your way through.
